Explore.

Our play-based curriculum fosters social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development and it enhances learning in literacy, math, science, social studies, the arts, and technology.

We spend a lot of time outside adventuring in nature. We have planted pumpkins, wild flowers, strawberries, grapes, raspberries, and more. We have seen first hand woodpeckers, a family of geese, squirrels, deer and their babies, beavers, hummingbirds, butterflies, caterpillars, worms, beetles and bugs, cows, wood ducks...

Most of the children learn how to ride a bike, pump on a swing, jump rope, do a flip on the monkey bars, and more. We believe there are ample opportunities to learn new skills both inside and outside the classroom.

Imagine.

We want each child to gain self-confidence by being equally valued, accepted, and included. Throughout the day, children are encouraged to help one another as they learn and play to create a community. They are guided to use their words to work out conflicts and promote unity and build relationships.

Children are little sponges with daily increasing intelligence as they explore, create, and imagine in a caring, safe, and child-appropriate environment. It is Cheerful Hearts’ passion to meet each child where they are and help them to blossom into confident little people that contribute to our community in their own positive and unique ways.
